We have a ton of awesome games releasing onto Game Pass this March and April and more announcements of some amazing games that are set to drop in the coming months. And I am really excited to talk about some of these games.
From dark and chilling horror experiences like The Quarry to exceptionally addicting MMORPGs like Diablo 4, we have tons of awesome upcoming game pass games for March and April.
Lightyear Frontier
I have talked about Lightyear Frontier many times before and I am excited that it’s finally out on Game Pass. It’s a promising farming simulator that innovates the genre by introducing exo-farming! You play as space explorers trying to create a new home on an Alien planet that looks absolutely breathtaking, to say the least.
Unlike most traditional farming sims, you are not just growing crops; there’s a lot you can do here. Firstly, there’s a whole open world filled with different areas that you can explore, collect valuable resources, uncover secrets about alien civilizations, and even build your own structures using the game’s awesome crafting and building mechanics.
F1 23
Another game already out on Game Pass is Racing Sim F1 23. But on April 2nd you’ll be able to play this in the cloud. As I’ve talked about before this is one of my favorite racing sims and one I couldn’t recommend more. It’s also available on consoles to play right now.
The Quarry
So a game joining the game pass this month is The Quarry, this is one of the better horror games to have been released within the past few years. Here you play as these 9 different characters where a summer night has turned into chaos locals have turned and there are these sinister creatures after them. Now you have to make tough choices between each of the characters whose stores are all intertwined in this web. While you control each story, any character you play can actually be the hero or someone who tragically dies.
It’s a very gripping story that blends horror and decision-making on the fly that leaves you at the edge of your seat. Another cool aspect of this game is you can play online multiplayer where other players can control the other characters and it can all come together. another neat aspect is some of these characters are played by high-level actors, Evan Longoria, David Arquette, Brenda Song, Ariel Winter, and more. So this is a high-quality game that lands on March 20th on consoles and cloud.
Evil West – (March 21st)
Evil West joins Game Pass as well and this is an action-packed adventure set in the vampire-infested US where you assume the role of an agent working for a top-secret vampire-hunting institute. With your only goal being the eradication of this terror looming from the shadows, you have the fate of humanity resting in your hands!
I love how developers have combined together the old-school Wild West theme with modern technology to create this immersive narrative-driven adventure that promises to keep you hooked for hours. You can choose to fight alone as a lone ranger or tag along with friends to slay these blood-thirsty monstrosities using your lightning-fueled gauntlet. The 3rd-person action gunplay in this game is extremely fun and gets you into the action. The game has also had thousands of positive user reviews, so this is a great one landing on game pass this March 21st.
Terra Invicta – (March 26)
So we have a promising looking 4X strategy game that released at the end of 2022. It’s called Terra Invicta and in this one, you play as a hero in a world where an alien invasion has crippled humanity due to fear as they are about to take over. The world is divided into 7 ideological factions and now you have to choose one and try to take control of the other factions but also take back your way of life against these aliens.
It’s an awesome premise, the strategy and gameplay elements have you making touch choices, but also the goal is not only bringing everyone into the fold with your plans but building a massive ship to actually ride into the solar system and potentially get away, if need be. It’s a full sandbox strategy title that has you researching tech, and building even space stations beyond Earth; there are many ways to tackle your playthrough. this arrives on PC on March 26.
Diablo IV – (28 March)
Diablo 4 is also closing in on its release on Game Pass and I am sure you guys are as excited about it as much as I am. Now, let me tell you this, Diablo 4 is quite different from the previous games in many ways. For one, Diablo 4 focuses more on the story side of things than combat. Sure, the combat is still a massive part of the game, but it’s a bit more methodical and slow-paced compared to Diablo 3, which some of you might not like.
However, everything else, from enemies to the game’s environment, voice acting, and especially the story, makes up for it. Diablo 4 even brings back the series’ signature dark atmosphere that goes very well with its visceral gameplay and unforgiving combat. It arrives on Game Pass on 28th March, and I really recommend you play this game with friends as this heavily favors group play over solo runs.
Open Roads – (28 March)
Open Roads is a story-driven adventure game where you play as a young woman named Tess, who accompanies her mother on an emotional journey to the past. The two hit the road as they travel to visit their old family properties in search of lost memories and hidden secrets. Open Roads is all about exploring this unique bond between a mother and her daughter through meaningful dialogues, catchy animations, and moral choices. Open Roads is coming out on Game Pass on March 28th.
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2
I was a bit bummed to find out we were losing the 1st hot wheels on game pass this month only to be surprised we were getting hot wheels unleashed 2 instead. This was released recently in October and there are new tracks to dive into with more challenging biomes like riding on grass or sand, new driving moves like a new lateral dash, and double jumps. But if you’re unfamiliar with Hot Wheels unleased this is an awesome arcade racer I’ve gotten to enjoy that is just pure fun, you race with Hot Wheels cars like the mini car toys you might have played with as a kid like me.
There is a whole new story mode on here that is pretty fun but one thing I’ve loved doing with this franchise is playing the local split-screen and racing against my little brother. You can even create a new hot-wheel car yourself and have your own custom ride.
Ark Survival Ascended – (April 1st)
So, the ever-so-controversial Ark Survival Ascended also joins the upcoming game pass lineup. And while I haven’t played Ark in a while, it seems as though Ascended is basically the original Ark with upgraded visuals, specifically since this game is now in Unreal Engine 5, everything just looks more realistic, and there is a lot of quality of life revamps across. We have new dinosaurs, a new tracking system, and a whole lot more.
There is also cross-platform play as well which I love seeing. And if in general, you happen to be unfamiliar with the franchise; it’s a survival game with the only major twist being there are dinosaurs, this has been a beloved title for over 10 years now I think and if you like dinosaurs there’s nothing better on the market and now it comes with a current-gen makeover. This lands across PC, cloud, and Xbox Series X and S.
Superhot Mind Control Delete – (April 2)
So a game that I’ve enjoyed in the past and is a really unique experience is Super Mind Control Delete. It has you shooting down enemies in 1st person in slow motion and doing a variety of shots and tricks. And it kinda makes you feel like you’re in an action movie as this total badass, killing people left and right.
As the game progresses you gain some skills and hacks and things that help you cause more awesome mayhem and there are boss fights. This is a fun one and you can beat it in around 13 hours; so not a long game. So, If you are looking for some senseless action fun, and chaos, you’ll enjoy this one when it lands on April 2nd on cloud, console, and PC.
